Batu Caves & Temple Tour: An afternoon tour highlighting two unique places. First is the spectacular Thean Hou Chinese Temple, a striking 6-tier construction dedicated to the Goddess Tian Hou (the Heavenly Mother) and featuring elements of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. Afterwards we continue to the Batu Caves – a massive limestone outcrop where the interiors are home to a Hindu shrine lined with different deities. The shrine itself, located deep inside the high caverns, takes 272 steps to reach. On the way back, we visit a local Batik centre to see how the local Batik is designed and made. The Fireflies Phenomenon: Barely an hour away from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur is the tranquil town of Kuala Selangor, known for its historical past as well as its extensive Mangrove Forests where during our walk you may spot Silver Leaf Monkeys and migratory birds. Enjoy dinner (included) in a local restaurant before boating upstream to watch thousands of fireflies sparkle in the thick mangrove along of the river banks. Very few places in the world will you find as many fireflies as in Kuala Selangor - a wonderful phenomenon not to be missed when visiting Malaysia.
